Do you have a writing assignment that you think has been especially inspiring and/or effective for your students?

If so, you might consider publishing in Prompt. Prompt is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes academic writing assignments accompanied by c. 2000 word reflective essays about how you designed, developed, and implemented the assignment. The journal accepts writing assignments from all levels (undergraduate and graduate) and disciplines.

If this sounds intriguing, we invite you to join us for a day-long virtual writing retreat focused on developing your writing assignment for submission to Prompt (or similar disciplinary-focused journals). In addition to structured work time, you will have full access to a supportive community of colleagues, a research coach, a writing coach, and an Associate Editor of Prompt.

All faculty, instructors, staff, and graduate students who teach Penn State students are welcome to join us.
