While students come to our classes with varying experiences with writing in college, it is often a challenge for them to write in the ways we expect them to as members of a particular field. What does it take then for teachers to support their students in writing like a scientist, critic, technician, artist, or analyst? This workshop offers participants an introduction to what it means to support students’ writing development within the context of a particular discipline. We will consider teaching strategies for setting students up for writing success and providing useful feedback to diverse student writing.

You can choose to attend this session in person at 315 Rider Building or via Zoom. Please indicate your location choice when registering.

For those attending via Zoom, a link will be sent out at least 45 minutes before the event.
